Application for “Cotton Researcher of the Year 2011” is open now

For the last three years, International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) is recognizing a cotton researcher every year. The ICAC initiated the Cotton Researcher of the Year Award in 2009 and Dr. Keshav R. Kranthi of India was honored in 2009 and Dr. Freddie M. Bourland of the University of Arkansas, USA in 2010. Now ICAC is inviting applications for the "ICAC Researcher of the Year 2011."

Every year researchers can apply between February 1 and March 31. ICAC is now accepting applications until March 31, 2011 for the ICAC Researcher of the Year 2011." All information about the program, including where and how to apply, is available on the ICAC web page at

Applications sent to nominations@icac.org go directly to a panel of judges. A panel of five anonymous judges headed by an internationally recognized university professor scrutinizes and decides the finalist. Applications sent to any other address, or applications received after March 31, 2011, will not be considered. Researchers from ICAC member governments can only apply for the program.
